Erhardt Mediterraneo in Tankbank International 15th annual Conference in Port of Cartagena

Erhardt Mediterráneo will be one of the companies promoting Tankbank International 15th annual Conference in Port of Cartagena which will take place next Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd of June.

This meeting will feature presentations from important representatives on the oil, gas and chemicals markets as well as presentations from many of the international companies using Port of Cartagena today.

Port of Cartagena is the main port of the Spanish oil industry thanks to its impressive figures which account for 25 million tonnes of liquid bulks manipulated in 2016 of a various types: crude oil, heavy products, petrochemical, NG, LPG, bio fuel, gasoline, napththa, gasoil, lubricants, fenol, acetone...

Of these huge traffic volumes around 70% belong to crude oils which come to Cartagena to be processed on the Repsol refinery, which is the largest single investment in Spain's history.

Port of Cartagena cruise vessels quay extension

On 29th of May 2017 Mr Antonio Sevilla, President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, Mr José Llorca, President of the Spanish Ports, Mr Pedro Rivera, Murcia Region Government Presidency and Promotion Counsellor and Mr José Ramón Diez de Revenga, Murcia Region Transports Managing Director, inaugurated the Port of Cartagena cruise quay extension.

The quay has been extended 140 metres having thus a total lenght of 667 metres, which allows from now onwards the possibility of two large cruise vessels calling simultaneously Port of Cartagena.

Thanks to this new infrastructure Port of Cartagena expects more than 150 cruise ship calls and more than 240.000 passengers in 2017.

In 2016 Port of Cartagena received 187.000 passengers on 121 cruise ship calls which meant 25% increase on passengers and 12% increase on calls from the previous year.

These important investments performed by the Port of Cartagena together with other actions projected for the future additional to the excellence in the service provided by ship agents like Erhardt Mediterráneo, provide cruise carriers and cruise passengers a top quality service and place Port of Cartagena as a reference and a must call in the Mediterranean Sea.
